Red Rock Relay (Park City) 2013

Hey Hey! Hope you all had a great weekend! It is back to the Monday grind!

This weekend I ran Red Rock Relay with 5 of my main chicas, this was our 5th RRR! I love RED ROCK!

This race started and ended in Midway, Utah. It is absolutely beautiful up there!

Friday night we headed to registration to help out. We gave teams their bags and snagged ours as well!

Inside the swag bags was tattoos, race shirts, sunscreen, chapstick and RRR lanyard for each runner!

Saturday, we woke up early to get our first runner on her way, in the brisk 30 degree weather! Tara absolutely ROCKED it!

The grass might have been frozen at the beginning but the views were incredible. Check out those air balloons! Those are totally going on my bucket list!

My first leg was 6.77 miles. It was a long gradual uphill stretch. My team had to go back to the hotel during my leg so I didn’t have support or pics.. ha! but it was good! I finished the leg in just 47 minutes.

The best part of relays is to just relax and have fun with friends!

These girls rock! We LOVE relays because there is NO pressure and we can just have fun for one day without any other worries. Smile

Your team makes or breaks the race.

I couldn’t of picked a better bunch!

Wendy, in the center is sporting the race shirt given to us in the swag bag! They are dang cute. They have such a cute cut which you can’t say about any other race!

Lots of shenanigans happened.

Mostly in the car because it was to cold outside! Ha!

Park City relay runs through neighborhoods, country, city and mountains so you get a little bit of everything.

Road and trail!

Each leg had its perks. By the middle of the day the temperture went up and we were lovin it!

This relay was one of the most difficult ones I have done but honestly my favorite! It challenged me and pushed me out of my comfort zone at times.

Leg 11 was pretty Gnarly. SO if you ever run this race and absolutely love uphill this leg was made for you.

Overall, this race is beautiful, scenic and challenging. Each leg had a majority of uphill, besides 12 so make sure to train uphill for sure.

This is a perfect fall race and a perfect way to wrap up a race season! I will for sure be doing this race next year!

Great race, great friends!

Until next year!
