Reality + Elliptical Workout

Wow! It has been a busy week in the Bement household, so I apologize for the lack of post this week. Reality of working pregnant mom I suppose.

I am the type of person that does like to be busy and on the go, but sometimes I just want to breathe for a second. A LOT has happened in the last few days. Some good and some not so good.

The weather has been great during the day here so we have spent a lot of time outside chalkin it up.

This little sass is pretty professional at 7:30 in the morning.

There is now a life size princess on my driveway.

I have discovered that if I keep these two busy enough out in the sun for awhile, I am almost guaranteed a nap. Okay, this rarely happens but we were waiting for our countertops to be put in and these two are related to me in the fact that they fall asleep on a dime when a movie starts. Anyone else?

I was surprised that they both slept through this entire process. It was loud at times too! I LOVE my new countertops!! It brightened up the kitchen a little more. Now, I just have to make a decision about backsplash… Any ideas?

Since our kitchen was under construction I made a quick tupperware lunch

My salad only had ground turkey, green beans, hummus and ranch.. super exciting..

I am a fan of this ranch though! I haven’t had ranch for a LONG time, I usually go for some sort of balsamic or vinaigrette but I had a coupon for Bolthouse so I decided to give it a try. I will for sure buy it again in the future!

Yesterday we woke up early enough for a fancy breakfast before I had to go to work. The highlight of this breakfast was the peach! I snagged them at Costco after a recommendation from an employee and I’m glad I did! They are perfect right now!

Breakfast was followed by a snuggle fest. These two really are BF’s. I love how much they play together, even if they cause a bit of mischief here and there… well… everywhere.

I had the afternoon off of work so we headed to the ZOO! It was a hot day, but the heat didn’t slow us down! We had a great time with some friends and were able to see all of our favorite animals including the new lions our zoo recently opened.

Tanners favorite is the Polar Bear! He was sleeping when we were there, but he was still ecstatic to see him.

Baylee and I love the seals! They have this glass walls so we can watch them swim under the water which I think is really cool.

On our way out Tanner spotted a lion paw on the ground. IMG_4203[1]

He said that his paws were the same size! Ha!

Workouts this week have been here and there and everywhere. Mostly GPP, one pump class, one 3 mile run OUTSIDE! Yesterday I woke up super early and ended up at the gym for a little morning cardio. I did 25 minutes on the bike and then 25 minutes on the elliptical as a recovery day after a pretty good week.

I don’t think I will ever like the elliptical. I put together a workout to follow to see if it would help me keep focus which did help a bit. Having a plan written out is always the trick for me to make it through a workout!

It is going to be a busy weekend as well! I teach pump in the morning then sadly have a friends funeral that passed suddenly earlier this week and then a wedding shower back to back to back. Brent is out of town too, so its time to gear up!

Do you like the elliptical?

What are your plans for the weekend?
