Arms & Cardio Workout

Every Thursday I get excited because we are headed right into the weekend! Tomorrow Brent and I have a date night at the pool! I love that he loves to workout with me and we don’t get a chance to do it very often so we have decided to get a babysitter once a weeks so we can go do something together.

Yesterday I worked in the morning at GPP then tackled the workout their. It was an Every minute on the minute blaster, that included jump rope, KB swings and BURPEES! Everyone’s favorite right?!

I had a 5 mile repeats to tackle but didn’t get to them till 4pm.. I had somewhere to be at 6 and almost bagged the run because with one kid at Gymnastics and the other 2 wide awake.. No excuses in this training plan though. So I headed down to my 1986 treadmill and got to it. 


5 mile repeats with 2 minute rests in between. Roe smiled in his swing the whole time and Baylee danced around and entertained me.  

As soon as I finished I changed my clothes and headed to cheer on a couple of my favorite girls at a drill team review. I was on drill team in high school, so watching them perform I get pretty excited.


This morning I headed to work and coached a core workout. Every Thursday we work specifically on the abdominals from all angles.



I’m still avoiding crunches so I modified a bit of this workout, then spent 30 minutes on the bike.

I came home and made a pretty happy breakfast.


Eating off kids plates is pretty fun sometimes.

I spent hours…doing laundry today. NOTE to ALL.. Do not do laundry once a month. HA! I’m happy to report it is all caught up now. Don’t judge me.

I celebrated by laying on my bed… The news brought up the fact that PEEPS –> you know that really gross cavity inducing marshmallow birds? Yea, so now you can drink them in a liquid milk.



Somebody try this and let me know how it goes. mmk?

I taught a boot camp tonight we did a quick warm up with pushups, squats, burpees and sit ups. Then we did this workout.


Here are video demos of the movements:

  • Press jacks
  • Plate Drags: Put two plates under your feet. In a plank position (hands on floor, not elbows) walk across the floor with your hands. Keep your body in a straight line. No mountains or “swaggin backin.”
  • Alt. bicep curls
  • Tricep dips
  • stair runs- Run up and down your stairs for 4 minutes/10 times
