A lot of St. George Hiking Pictures

This last weekend we headed to St. George for “Spring Break.”

I left late Thursday with my SIL Janey and we drove down. My MIL has a condo there so we have a free stay. I absolutely love it down there. The weather is fantastic, and the hiking is amazing.

We spent most of our time exploring the red rocks. Janey and I took the kids on multiple hikes. They did so well and loved it all.

We hiked up to the top and all around the infamous Dixie Rock.

IMG_1488[1]

This kid is a crack up. He wore his glasses upside down the entire time… we tried to tell him they were upside down.. apparently ours were upside down…

IMG_1418[1]

It is one incredible view at the top of the rock.

Another hike is one I did with my Red Rock Relay team. It is in Red Cliffs Recreation area. It is off the Leeds exit if you are ever in the area. It was a perfect hike for my kids. It is a quick hike and the best part was is that they were able to hike the whole thing without any assistance.

We spent the remaining time at the pool and visiting family members that I have living down there.

Brent spent all day Saturday in Vegas at the NHRA Drag races with his Mom and Step-Dad.

Then we got to drive home Sunday.

In THIS.

For FOUR & a half hours..

Besides the drive home it was a great trip! We ate out, had swig drinks and cookies, lots of relaxing and everything in between.

Like always I’m happy to be home and back to routine, home cooked meals and work.

Back to normal blogging this week!

Thank You.

I don’t even know where to start.

All I can say is THANK YOU. I have some of the best readers ever.

It has been a long road to get to this point and we couldn’t be more grateful for this sweet little miracle. I have had a few questions so lets get to it!

When are you due?

October 17, 2014

IMG_1044[1]

This was me Sunday after a pretty big meal. But I did “pop” pretty fast..I even thought I for sure had twins again! But after multiple ultrasounds we only have ONE sweet babe this round! My Doctor did say it is common for twin moms to show quicker on the next pregnancy and that it will even out throughout the 2nd trimester.

When did you find out you were pregnant?

The weekend of our 6th wedding anniversary! It was the end of the “two week wait” and I just took a test at home. I had so many negatives in the last year that those two lines were the last thing I expected.

Do you know what your having?

Not yet! And we aren’t going too!! We figured we have one boy and one girl so lets let this one be a big SURPRISE!

Have you been sick?

Yes, but not too bad, just mostly tired and exhausted everyday. I have been prescribed diclectin. It is pretty much a unisom & B6 and it has helped SO much with my nausea.

Popscicles help too.

IMG_1378[1]

Are you still working out?

YES! I did back down a bit though of course. I still do GPP everyday and teach Body Pump. I am taking a break from Body Attack for a little bit though. I haven’t stopped running but not doing any crazy long distance and every run is easy and slow.

I think those have been the most common questions so far. If you have any other questions feel free to ask in the comments and I can do another Q&A post!

Hope you guys are having a great week! Tomorrow is my Friday and we are heading back to the red rock for the weekend!

Life Is Crazy.

It has been a week since I have last posted. The only thing I can say about it is that, life is crazy.

Life can be stressful..

It is busy.

 IMG_0050

It is even frustrating at times.

It should be simple.

IMG_0076

It should be adventurous

Life is also wonderful.

It is full of surprises.

Miracles really.

Life is about to get a little crazier in about 7 months..

Our hearts are full, and we couldn’t be more excited to announce baby #3.

Flemings and a Jazz Game

Last night Brent and I were able to squeeze in a mid week date!! I was excited because we were going to one of my favorite restaurants and to a Jazz basketball game.

We go to Flemings maybe once every two years because it cost about as much as Lulu crops per plate. It is worth it though! We did luck out a bit because we had a gift certificate. I savored every bite, and its not every day you get to have a one on one adult conversation over an amazing meal sans kids. Okay, maybe just us??

We started with a loaf of bread with two different types of butters. One was a creamy gorgonzola cheese with cranberries and tomato basil butter.

Brent ordered the filet mignon with some type of creamy mushroom sauce. It was perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth perfection.

I went with one of the nightly specials. A halibut with a siracha butter, arugula and potato slices.

I don’t think I’ve had a more perfect halibut. It was perfectly flakey and flavored! I loved it.

The manager came over and introduced herself and was very kind. She made sure we felt appreciated and that we were happy with our meal selections. The service was great, and like I said. Completely worth it.

We wanted to stay for the Chocolate Lava cake but had to leave to make it for tip off!

I love going to the Jazz games. I’ve been a lifetime Jazz fan and watching the dancers sure made me miss my dancing days. It was a fun night to be at the game. The dancers danced with their mom’s and it was the Jazz Bears (mascots) Birthday!

Even though we had “great” seats we met a cute couple next to us and chatted throughout the game.

It was definitely a fun night for us!

Thanks to Grams and Gramps for watching these two party peeps.

What is your favorite restaurant?

I know most of us our chicks reading this but what is your favorite sports team?

Reebok Crossfit Apparel Review

** The following post is sponsored by FitFluential LLC on behalf of Reebok.

When I received the Reebok Crossfit Apparel to try out and review, I was pretty excited! Who doesn’t love new workout gear? I instantly had motivation to put it on and go workout!

IMG_0976[1]

Reebok Crossfit is made with a the PlayDry and BareMove material. PlayDry is a moisture management system that helps keep you cooler, dryer and more comfortable. It helps accelerate evaporation, increases ventilation and reduces abrasion without trapping the bodies thermal energy.

BareMove is designed for a perfect fit  while allowing for freedom of movement. Designed to replicate the body in motion through bulk reduction, and seam replacement to increase stretch and articulation. It is designed to help regulate your core body temperature through venting in key heat zones for increased airflow to cool the body.

I received the Reebok Crossfit Endurance Training Jaquard Hoodie, The Reebok Crossfit SS Tri-Blend CF74 Tee, the Reebok Crossfit Core Training Short, the Reebok Crossfit 2 inch Striped Intensify Short. and the Reebok Crossfit Skinny Strap Racer Bra.

Let’s start with the hoodie!

My favorite is the Reebok Crossfit Jaquard Hoodie! It is a Navy Camo, which is so cute on! Light weight, functional, breathable and stylish! I love the the little inspiration on the sleeve!

This slim fit hoodie is made with BareMove performance to help reach, stretch and articulation through material selection, placement and shape. It also has Breeze body mapped ventilation zones that help improve air flow and moisture control that helps keep your body cool. The PlayDry moisture wicking to keep skin dry and makes it super comfy! There is a little zip pocket on the side that will easily secure any small item. It was perfect for my car key when I went out on a run.

There is a bungee at the bottom of the hoodie that makes for a custom fit. the also best part of any hoodie is THUMBHOLES!

This fitted tee is made with anti-microbial tri-blend and has a cute graphic in the center. It is so soft and is great to wear while working out because it has flat lock seams that help with avoiding abrasion and chafing! It also has the PlayDry moisture wicking to keep skin dry and you comfortable throughout your workout.

The Reebok Crossfit Core Training Short also was a favorite of mine.

Baylee is obviously a great photographer.

Here is a little selfie booty shot of the graphic on the back of the shorts.

They have a built in brief/underwear in the shorts that are made with the anti-microbial material. The BareMove fabric makes this short stretchy which, I love because they don’t ride up when I squat!

IMG_1136[1]

The little pocket on the shorts is right on the inseam. Makes a great place to store ice breaker mints.. (I’m a mint addict while running.)

IMG_1148[1]

The Reebok Crossfit 2 inch Striped Intensify Short is similar to the core training short in the way it is made with the Anti-microbial and PlayDry fabric. It has a cute Drawcord in the center like a pair of board shorts.

IMG_1157[1]

It has a 2 inch inseam and Side dolphin hem for more mobility. The colors are bright in the front and the back of the short is a solid Navy color. It also has a little zip pocket to hold small items during your workout.

IMG_1155[1]

The Reebok Crossfit Skinny Strap Racer Bra is probably the most comfortable sports bra I have ever had! I’m totally and completely in love with it! It is so soft, I love the camo design on the straps and the v -shape front of the bra.

IMG_1168[1]

The streamlined racerback silhouette straps are seamless and make such a cute design on your back. It has removable cups for low to medium impact performance. It is made with a Nylon-spandex jersey blend for durablilty and stretch; bonded, self-binded double straps for extra support, which I need when I do high impact workouts!

Isn’t the back cute? OF the sports bra… not my actual back.. Ha! Don’t mind my traps. They are going to take over the world soon, I know..

Overall, I loved ALL of the Reebok Crossfit Apparel! Light, comfortable and easy to move in! I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with Reebok, they are an amazing company that really keep the athlete in mind!

Thank you Reebok!

Which piece of Reebok Crossfit Apparel would you like to add to your closet?

I’m Alive.

Long time, no talk! I have totally missed blogging! It feels good to be back. I have so much to catch you up on but I don’t really like to blog past tense so lets jump right on track.

I took off most of last week because #1 Weather was great. #2 I took T.V and all electronics away from my kids so I refrained as well and we went outside and played. We had a blast. Almost like a staycation, but with work and I made most of my own meals, oh and house work. Still had a great week.

Let’s get down to business!

I put my bootcamp through a rough workout this week.

You can even do this workout with dumb bells and do it from home! It starts off easy, but trust me, you will be dead by the end!

Today, I taught a bootcamp, and body pump today. Both classes were full and always love a rough pump class!

Last week I wrapped up my Winter season of GPP Kids Class!

I love coaching these tweens. They work hard and know how to have fun! I’ve missed them this week and can’t wait for spring to start on April 7th!

IMG_0993[1]

My sister invited me to workout at her gym and I spent most of the time on this cool spin bike.

IMG_0995[1]

It felt more like a game then a workout! You got to select your course/race and even got to steer your bike! It was fun because I’m the type of person that thrives off a little competition so it was fun to pass others on the course.

People have emailed me asking what I like to eat pre-workout. I am totally the type the of person that needs food before I workout and my go-to is a Ezekiel English Muffin, topped with Trader Joes Raw Almond Butter and banana slices.

IMG_1019[1]

For lunch lately, it has been either a crunchy roll from my local grocery store Sushi bar ---> Which is completely affordable and delicious.

IMG_1020[1]

Or the classic favorite with friends.

CHIPOTLE!

IMG_0988[1]

For dessert…

IMG_1108[1]

And because I haven’t posted a pic of my two little nuggets.

IMG_1024[1]

Bee is clearly into dressing up lately.

I took away their kindle last week and they found it and hid behind Baylees bed playing. I couldn’t find them and just heard them giggling together and how can you get mad at that?

IMG_1105[1]

Have you ever taken a complete social media/blogging break? Try it. It’s refreshing.

Have you had Artic Zero Ice Cream? I love the Chocolate! What is your favorite flavor?

Cinnamon French Toast

**NOTE: This is kind of a blog catastrophe.. Before Hungry Mother Runner I had “Body of a Mother” Most if not ALL of my recipe links were still connected to that site. Then I did the genius thing of cancelling Body of Mother because it had been a year and don’t post there anymore… Well, now my recipe links have no where to go!! All the recipes are on Hungry Mother Runner but they ALL need to be re-linked…So please be patient with me and the blog as I go through my Archives month by month and do so. I’m so sorry for the inconvenience.

Anyway…

On the other hand, Lunch lately….

IMG_0974[1]

Chipotle beats café rio. Chipotle has my heart. I seriously can’t get enough! I can never pick between chicken and steak so I just get both.

I also get the corn salsa and the pico. Brown rice and extra lettuce. No cheese, no beans. If your new to the blog. I think beans are disgusting. I know, I’m a weird human being but you have to admit, they are a little furry. Winking smile

This weekend flew by, and I am sure weekends need to be longer!

My twins have officially become phone addicts. They play with my phone all day…

IMG_0972[1]

More so Bee that likes having me record her dancing and singing. Which I would do all day anyway! Her dancing lately cracks me up. She is a little natural! Smile

Chipotle or Café rio?

What is your favorite breakfast for dinner?
